Dimerix partners with Everest Medicines to take DMX 200 to Asia

Melbourne-based Dimerix has granted Everest Medicines exclusive rights to commercialise DMX 200 for all indications, including Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis, in China, South Korea, and parts of Southeast Asia.

The agreement covers China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines, while Dimerix retains rights in all other territories.

DMX 200 is a small-molecule CCR2 inhibitor now in a pivotal Phase 3 study, ACTION3, for the rare and serious kidney disease FSGS.

The adult cohort of ACTION3 is fully recruited, with 333 patients enrolled across 21 countries, including patients in the licensed regions.

Earlier interim results showed DMX 200 reduced proteinuria compared with placebo, and there have been no safety concerns after eight independent data monitoring committee reviews. An April 2026 external blinded review confirmed the study remains appropriately statistically powered to demonstrate a treatment effect for the primary endpoint.

Under the deal, Dimerix will receive an upfront payment of US$10 million and is eligible for success-based milestones totalling up to US$330 million plus tiered royalties. The transaction is the fifth licence executed for DMX 200 and, together with prior deals, could make Dimerix eligible for significant aggregate upfront and milestone payments across territories, in addition to royalties.

Dimerix will continue to fund and run the ACTION3 trial, while Everest will support regulatory submissions and bear the costs of commercialisation in the licensed markets. The companies will form a Joint Steering Committee to align development and commercial plans.

“We are delighted to establish this partnership with Everest Medicines, a company with strong rare renal disease expertise and a proven track record in commercialising in Greater China, South Korea and certain Southeast Asian countries. Importantly, this collaboration significantly expands the potential reach of DMX 200 into a large and underserved patient population. Everest is well positioned to maximise the opportunity in the licensed regions, while allowing Dimerix to retain focus on progressing our global registrational program, delivering value for shareholders and providing real hope for patients with FSGS across the globe in need of treatment options,” said Dr Nina Webster, CEO and Managing Director, Dimerix

"This collaboration with Dimerix marks an important step in advancing our strategic focus in kidney disease and further strengthening our innovative renal portfolio. Patients with FSGS in China have long faced significant unmet medical needs due to the lack of targeted treatment options. The positive interim results from the global pivotal Phase 3 study of DMX 200 underscore its potential to offer a meaningful new therapy for these patients. Leveraging our proven expertise in clinical development and commercialisation, we are committed to accelerating access to DMX 200 in China and beyond and exploring other glomerulopathies. We look forward to working closely with Dimerix to bring this innovative therapy to more patients in need,” added Yifang Wu, Chairman of the Board, Everest Medicines.
