Prescient Therapeutics (ASX:PTX) has announced that Dr Rosalind Wilson will become its Chief Medical Officer, a move the clinical-stage oncology company says will strengthen its clinical and strategic capabilities as it advances multiple programs.

The appointment follows the decision by the company’s current CMO, Dr Marissa Lim, to step back from full-time work and enter semi-retirement after contributing to the advancement of Prescient’s clinical programs.

Dr Wilson brings more than 30 years of experience across clinical development, regulatory strategy and executive leadership, including roles as Global Head of Drug Development at Telix Pharmaceuticals, CEO of ASX-listed Factor Therapeutics and previous CMO posts at oncology-focused biotech companies.

Early in her career, she led global development and launch strategy for pertuzumab at Roche, where she helped accelerate approval timelines and set regulatory precedents in breast cancer.

At Prescient, she will lead clinical development strategy and execution, including advancement of PTX 100 in its Phase 2 CTCL study and the progression of the broader pipeline, which includes the OmniCAR universal immune receptor platform and the CellPryme cell therapy enhancement technologies.

“We are delighted to welcome Dr Rosalind Wilson to Prescient. Ros brings an exceptional track record in oncology drug development and executive leadership, with deep experience advancing therapies through to approval and commercialisation. Her expertise will be instrumental as we progress our pipeline and deliver on our next phase of growth,” said CEO James McDonnell.

“We thank Dr Marissa Lim for her valuable contributions to Prescient and wish her well in her next chapter," he said.

“I am excited to join Prescient at such an important stage in its development. The Company’s pipeline represents a compelling opportunity to deliver meaningful benefit to patients with cancer. I look forward to working with the team to advance these programs and unlock their full potential,” said Dr Wilson.
