Victorian companies invited to express interest in BIO delegation places

The Victorian Government has invited expressions of interest in being part of the Victorian delegation at the Australian Pavilion at the 2015 BIO International Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – 15-18 June 2015.

The Victorian Government will provide a variety of marketing opportunities, connection points and networking resources to support eligible Victorian companies in Philadelphia including:

  • A Pre-BIO2015 Convention briefing in Melbourne;
  • Complimentary space and advertising on the Victorian section of the Australian pavilion*;
  • Design and print of your organisation’s poster to be displayed on the pod dedicated to your organisation*;
  • Access to meeting space close to the Australian pavilion; and,
  • Invitations to networking events in Philadelphia.

Also available are travel grants of up to $2,000 to cover airfares and accommodation is available for eligible Victorian companies participating in the BIO 2015 delegation. The number of grants is limited and the applications will be subject to selection by the Victorian Government.

Applications for the travel grants are now open online at http://www.business.vic.gov.au/support-for-your-business/grants-and-assistance/trade-events-program (select the drop down box for the Americas and then nominate the event).

Please send in your expression of interest in joining the Victorian delegation by Tuesday, 12 May to Sandhya Tewari (details below) via e-mail clearly outlining whether your interest lies in:

  1. Joining the delegation;
  2. Also interested in being considered for an exhibition pod;
  3. Also interested in accessing the travel grant (only companies are eligible for the grant and will have to apply directly via the link above).

PLEASE NOTE*: The Victorian space on the Australian pavilion is limited to five exhibition pods, which will facilitate 15 organisations to be showcased over the three days of the BIO 2015 Exhibition (5 companies per day x 3 days). Applicants will be subject to an approval process and participation will be at the discretion of the Victorian Government.
