MTPConnect and the Medical Alley Association of Minnesota have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that commits the organisations to work together to support the sector's growth.
The MoU was signed at the 2022 MedTech Conference in Boston by MTPConnect CEO Stuart Dignam and Medical Alley Association’s vice president of intelligence, Frank Jaskulke.
MTPConnect said the two organisations will work together on activities such as providing introductions and in-market support in their respective jurisdictions, exchanging information on key issues and trends, supporting inbound and outbound missions, and the delivery of joint events and projects.
Mr Dignam said Minnesota is one of the biggest medtech clusters in the world and the MoU is about making the right connections for Australian companies and start-ups seeking to access the US market.
“Medical Alley is deeply connected to Minnesota’s health industry, and we are looking forward to opening further connections between the exciting innovations in our great countries and continuing our close and fruitful relationship.
“It is fitting that we’ve signed this agreement at the MedTech Conference, where we are leading a delegation of 18 Australian companies to showcase our outstanding innovative medtech innovations and helping these companies to build valuable pathways into international markets as they commercialise new medical products,” he said.
The Medical Alley Association’s Frank Jaskulke, who has previously shared his expertise on navigating US market entry during an Australian tour in 2020, said the relationship will help connect the best-of-the-best to see what is possible.
