MTPConnect has announced the appointment of three general managers to senior roles.

The Medical Technologies and Pharmaceuticals Growth Centre (MTPConnect ) is part of the $248 million federal government Industry Growth Centres Initiative.

Industry led Growth Centres have been established to work to unlock commercial opportunities and drive innovation by building links between businesses and industry organisations and the science and research sector.

MTPConnect recently published its 10-year vision to maximise the sector’s competitiveness and productivity, and to achieve more rapid and sustained growth.

It has now announced the appointment of three senior leaders to support CEO and managing director Sue MacLeman.

Dr Alfredo Martinez-Coll has been appointed general manager, stakeholder engagement and will be based in the MTPConnect Sydney hub. Dr Sandhya Tewari will take on the role of general manager, international and government, while Dr Melanie Thomson is the new general manager, education, skills and events, both based in the MTPConnect head office in Melbourne.

Ms MacLeman said she was excited to have attracted such an experienced and enthusiastic executive team to MTPConnect.

“These roles form the pillars of what we seek to achieve at MTPConnect - facilitating collaboration through new initiatives, driving education and up-skilling the sector, developing the right environment for growth and commercial outcomes,” said Ms MacLeman.
