Further expansion for consultancy Biointelect with the company opening a Melbourne office and adding additional expertise.

The company, led by managing director Jenny Herz, has grown rapidly since its creation and now provides a range of services in Australia and overseas to global pharmaceutical companies, start-ups, not-for-profits and government agencies.

Its services include early-stage commercialisation strategy and support; R&D project management and grant assistance; new product planning, market evaluation and market access strategy; and, health technology-related policy and advocacy.

The company has announced the appointments of Ashleigh Prest and Priyanka Singh.

Prest joins Biointelect with an industry background in strategy and business development, supply chain and logistics, as well as regulatory affairs and market access. 

Singh has experience in health economics and market access, with over nine years in the pharmaceutical industry and non-government organisations, including Novartis.

Biointelect's Melbourne office is led by Dr Patricia Vietheer. Dr Vietheer has over 14 years’ experience in molecular biology, virology and immunology as well as a strong background in commercially driven early-stage scientific projects with major contributions to multiple patents and peer-reviewed publications. 

Dr Vietheer is joined in the company's Melbourne office by Dr Jill Pleasance. Dr Pleasance has worked internationally for Thompson Reuters as a life sciences consultant as well as locally in industry roles.
