Dr Bronwyn Evans, Chair of the Medical Technologies and Pharmaceuticals Industry Growth Centre, has invited stakeholders to participate in a range of consultations designed to shape the future of the sector.
Dr Evans has scheduled a range of opportunities to share their views about how the productivity and competitiveness of the sector can be significantly enhanced and is particularly interested to hear from companies and research organisations across the medical technologies, pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
Dr Evans' first priority will be working to shape a proposal for Industry Minister Ian Macfarlane, in relation to the Centre’s role. Discussion will focus on the following themes:
- How to encourage collaboration and the commercialisation of new products;
- How to enhance management and improve workforce skills;
- How to identify opportunities to reduce regulatory burden; and,
- How to improve capabilities to enable engagement with international markets and global supply chains.
