AusBiotech Invest Perth 2026 will open its doors in Perth today, bringing together investors, life sciences companies, and global partners focused on the next generation of breakthroughs.

Australia’s biotechnology and medical technology sector has seen remarkable growth, now counting close to 1,600 companies,  twice as many as there were eight years ago, according to the media release.

AusBiotech Director of Investment Kerri Lee Sinclair said AusBiotech Invest Perth 2026 is designed to connect serious science with serious capital and to foster the disciplined, direct conversations the current market demands. "In today's market, company readiness, evidence quality, commercial clarity and strategic investor engagement are increasingly important to how life sciences companies attract capital and build credibility and progress towards commercial and clinical milestones."

Sinclair noted AusBiotech’s long history of support. "For 40 years, AusBiotech has supported the sector's growth. Our always-on investment programs, including AusBiotech Invest, are designed to strengthen the conditions for long-term investment by improving company readiness, increasing the visibility of high-quality opportunities, and supporting more effective investor engagement."

The event showcases a cross-section of Australian and New Zealand companies, with presenting companies, including Tessara Therapeutics, PredicTx Health, Cytophenix, VeinTech, Marine Biomedical and Humble Bee Bio, representing opportunities across therapeutics, diagnostics, medtech and platform technologies.

Sinclair added, "Today is a strong example of that work in action. The quality of investors, companies and partners in the room highlights the importance of creating the right settings to build credibility, attract investment and grow globally."

Program sessions throughout the day aim to connect investor perspectives, company showcases and scaling stories to examine what it takes for Australian life sciences companies to navigate today’s market and grow into globally relevant businesses.
