The BioMelbourne Network has recognised three sector leaders in its 2020 Women in Leadership Awards.

According to BioMelbourne Network Chair, Lusia Guthrie, “Every year we are impressed with the number of nominations for these awards and are in awe of the phenomenal achievements of women across our sector. Our winners are not only leaders in their respective fields, but also role models for progressive leadership and equality.”

The 2020 Women in Leadership Awards ceremony was conducted online by BioMelbourne Network and supported by the Victorian State Government. 

The 2020 awardees are:

Women in Leadership Award - Dr Andrea Douglas, senior vice president of Organisation Transformation at CSL Limited;

Most Valuable Women in Leadership Award – Bronwyn Le Grice, founder, CEO and managing director, ANDHealth; and, 

Emerging Women in Leadership Award – Ewa Douroux, asia pacific marketing director of Leica Biosystems

The 2020 Awardees will be featured in the Women in Leadership Awards Honour Roll on the BioMelbourne Network website.

The BioMelbourne Network Women in Leadership Awards were launched in 2015 to recognise and champion women who, at different stages of their careers, have made exceptional contributions to advancing the biotechnology medical technology and pharmaceutical sector, and inspire more women to pursue leadership roles.
