For a limited time, AusBiotech will host a China Market Desk, manned by Austrade Shanghai’s Senior Business Development Manager (BDM), Mr Andre Zhu.
The Desk, to be held 2 - 6 October, will offer companies a China market advisory consultation at AusBiotech’s office, or via teleconference, and members are invited to meet with Mr Zhu during his Australian visit.
As one of the lead BDMs for Austrade China’s health and biotechnology trade promotion work, Mr Zhu assists Australian medical technology and biotechnology companies to enter the Chinese market. He can provide advice and information for companies planning to develop their business in China, or expand their footprint.
Mr Zhu joined Austrade Shanghai in 2010 and has led many health and medtech trade promotion initiatives to and from China. He is Austrade China’s key liaison BDM for Chinese stakeholders, including China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA), China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Health Products (CCCMHPIE), China Association for Medical Devices Industry (CAMDI) and non-Government medical institutions and associations such as the China Hospital Association.
Mr Zhu has both private and public sector experience in the FMCG, Automotive and Pharmaceutical industries. He can assist Australian companies with information on the Chinese health and medtech ecosystem and provide advice on market access strategies, partner identification and market development approaches in China.
Prior to joining Austrade in 2010, Andre was the head of Business Development and Regulatory Department of China Pioneer Pharma Holdings Limited (HK 01345), one of the leading pharmaceutical and device importers and distributors in China.
Mr Zhu graduated from Ballarat University (now Federation University) with a Bachelor of Management in early 2000.
