With only days until the 12th AusMedtech 2018 medical technologies conference arrives in Adelaide, attention has turned to all things medtech, including a comprehensive program and pre-event workshops on digital health, regulation and reimbursement.

Now is your final chance to register for AusMedtech 2018, Australia's premier medical technology conference. AusMedtech 2018 will be held in one week's time, from the 1-2 May, at the Adelaide Convention Centre. 

The event brings together the Australian and international medical devices and diagnostics sector to discuss major issues in global medical technology and help prepare the industry sector for its changing landscape.

The Conference includes a trade exhibition, dinner, networking events and a networking and partnering platform for delegates to schedule 30-minute meetings with other attendees.

ANDHealth will be hosting, in collaboration with AusBiotech, a half-day workshop in Adelaide titled "Transforming Healthcare Delivery Through Technology: Connected Health & Digital Therapeutics" on Monday, 30 April, preceding AusMedtech 2018.

The “Regulatory affairs, health economics and reimbursement” workshop, also on Monday 30 April 2018 will feature Brandwood Biomedical leading the morning session, focusing on the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)’s Medicines and Medical Devices Review (MMDR), changes in the European Union (EU) and provide an overview of risk classification, while the afternoon session, led by Sarah Griffin, Principal consultant, reimbursement, Brandwood Biomedical, will discuss prostheses prices and continuing reform of private health insurance.

AusMedtech 2018 program will feature keynote plenary with the inventor of a world-first low cost dialysis system. Vincent Garvey, Chairman and Chief Executive of Ellen Medical Devices and winner of the global Affordable Dialysis Prize in March 2016 will present on his invention.

Also featured will be keynote speaker, Anand Iyer, Co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer, WellDoc, is a respected global digital health leader—best known for his insights into and experience with technology, strategy and regulatory policy. Anand has been instrumental in WellDoc’s success and the development of BlueStar®, the first FDA-cleared mobile prescription therapy, for adults with type 2 diabetes. In 2013, Anand was named “Maryland Healthcare Innovator of the Year” in the field of mobile health
