Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has stepped into the innovation and trade portfolio pending the outcome of an investigation involving Minister Adem Somyurek.
Mr Somyurek has been the Minister for Small Business, Innovation and Trade since the Andrews Government was elected at last year's election.
The investigation relates to claims of inappropriate behaviour towards staff.
He recently addressed the AusMedtech 2015 conference, announcing funding for the state’s biotechnology sector to attend this year’s Bio International convention in Philadelphia.
