3D Medical (ASX:3DM) has announced that Mach7 Technologies has signed a five-year distribution agreement with IntriHEALTH.
IntriHEALTH selected Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform as the underlying software technology to provide standardisation, scalability and next generation VNA (Vendor Neutral Archive) functionality to its hosted medical image management platform that serves its existing base throughout South Africa.
Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform delivers enterprise-level medical image management capabilities, with fully-integrated mobile image capture, workflow management, reporting and referral portal functionality that can be distributed by IntriHEALTH as a hosted solution to its customer base of 40 clinical sites.
The company said IntriHEALTH currently supports more than 300 medical practitioners who are using the solution daily across South Africa making IntriHEALTH the largest single database of clinical images in South Africa, with over 2 million studies archived to date.
Under the Agreement, Mach7 will generate licence revenue to be paid monthly in US dollars from IntriHEALTH calculated under a pay-per-procedure revenue model. The licence fee is charged on each procedure ingested into the Mach7 platform and the agreed rate-per-procedure is within the example pricing previously described by the Company in its announcement on 3 March 2016.
The Agreement provides Mach7 with regular annuity-style revenue over the initial 5-year term; establishes a significant clinical footprint across South Africa and provides a highly-scalable solution to IntriHEALTH that can be easily rolled out to new clinical sites as they come on-board.
Mr Mike Simpson, CEO of IntriHEALTH said: “Mach7 provides superior technology to solve the critical needs of our customers and patients in Africa. Advancing enterprise imaging through the use of technology is gaining rapid adoption among providers across Africa. Our integration and implementation experience with Mach7 has been both swift and seamless, a testament to the technology and support teams at Mach7."
