Online voting for the 2016 AusBiotech Board election ballot closes this weekend and financial members of AusBiotech are urged to submit their vote before 5:00pm (AEST) on Sunday 9 October 2016.
The AusBiotech Board has one position available for election and has received eligible nominations from the following candidates:
- Dr Andrea Douglas;
- Dr Peter French;
- Ms Lusia Guthrie;
- Dr Lisa Haile;
- Mr David (Rock) Hudson; and,
- Ms Rebecca Wilson.
Biographies of the nominated candidates can be viewed online during the voting process.
To vote, simply enter your name and AusBiotech membership number. Contact AusBiotech to confirm your membership number on 0401 408 345.
All votes will be checked by the appointed auditor, M V Anderson & Co, so please ensure your membership number is correct for your vote to be counted.
The outcome of the ballot will be announced during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) at AusBiotech 2016 on Monday 24 October. AusBiotech 2016 national conference will be held as part of the International BioFest 2016, running from 24 – 27 October 2016 at the Melbourne Convention Centre.
AusBiotech releases Annual Report 2016
AusBiotech released the 2016 Annual Report for the period 1 July 2015 – 30 June 2016, which will also be discussed at the upcoming AGM. It includes reports from the current Chair Julie Phillips and long-time AusBiotech CEO Dr Anna Lavelle, who stepped down on 1 September 2016. The Report highlights AusBiotech’s initiatives in raising the profile of Australian biotechnology and industry engagement, and recognises AusBiotech’s partners, supporters and members.
