To develop clear regulatory guidelines for the changing medical devices landscape, the CSIRO is undertaking research that will inform a TGA guidance document to assist the medical devices ecosystem to implement appropriate approaches to cyber security – this includes developers, sponsors and users of medical devices.
To ensure input is received from an extensive and diverse set of stakeholders within the medical device ecosystem, the TGA in collaboration with CSIRO are hosting a two-hour workshop. Everyone is welcome from the Australian medical device ecosystem who may be involved in the development, implementation and management, or application of, communicative, responsive and software based medical devices, to either join us in person or register for the interactive webinar.
We will discuss current and emerging cyber security challenges for the medical device ecosystem, and then assess potential strategies to maintain a cyber-safe medical device environment.
We encourage those with an interest in the safe application of medical devices to attend, and discuss their point of view on medical device cyber security with our expert panel.
