Government grant for Cell Therapies

Company News

Cell Therapies is one of nine companies to share in $8.69 million in funding under the Turnbull government's Global Innovation Linkages programme (GIL).

Cell Therapies, together with global partners in the US, has been granted $1 million to support development of a new approach to cancer treatment that is not dependent on chemotherapy or radiotherapy.

Other grant recipients cover advanced manufacturing, food and agribusiness, mining equipment technology and services, and the oil, gas and energy resources sectors.

The program, an initiative of the Global Innovation Strategy, is designed to build Australia’s research capacity and strategic alliances, in addition to increasing the commercialisation and application of research outcomes.
