Taiwan is seeking potential partners across all stakeholder groups for its home-grown healthcare industry.
Taiwan's International Trade Administration (TITA), under its Ministry of Economic Affairs, has commissioned the Taiwan External Trade Development Council to initiate a worldwide call for proposals under the theme 'Go Healthy with Taiwan'.
The global initiative aims to engage governments, institutions, enterprises, and organisations in submitting innovative proposals that integrate Taiwan’s home-grown health innovations.
TITA Deputy Director General Susan Hu noted that Taiwan President Lai Ching-te is pursuing the vision of a 'Healthy Taiwan'.
The 'Go Healthy with Taiwan' campaign is focused on five key sectors of Taiwan’s health industry - smart healthcare technologies, medical aesthetics and wellness checkups, fitness equipment, sports technologies, and bicycles.
Taiwan is considered to have a leading health technology sector, utilising its globally recognised ICT and semiconductor industry to advance its place in the global health tech market.
Its goal is to receive over 500 submissions from across five continents. The top three proposals will each be awarded US$30,000, and all high-quality entries will be allowed to explore collaboration and commercialisation with Taiwanese companies.
