dorsaVi has received a $1.1 million grant under the federal government's Advanced Manufacturing Growth Fund grant to support enhancements to its current manufacturing facilities.

This program was established to help industry adjust to the wind-down of car manufacturing in Victoria and South Australia. The fund is focused on advanced manufacturing activities designed to boost innovation, skills and employment opportunities.

dorsaVi Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Ronchi, said the grant will be used to support the purchase of robotic loaders, optical tracking equipment, calibration equipment and additional production engineers.

"We have already made significant advances to our ability to produce our sensors at volume. The additional funding will enable the company to further expand its manufacturing capacities, reduce the costs of sensors and enhance our ability to quickly respond to orders from large clients," he said.

The company said the grant will be spent over a three-year period and will be supplemented with additional investment.
