Consumer Healthcare Products Australia, formerly ASMI, has announced the election and appointment of new directors to its Board.

The organisations held its annual general meeting in Canberra this week. It hosted a series of speakers at a special event, including health minister Greg Hunt and shadow Chris Bowene.

The annual general meeting confirmed the election of board directors Robert Barnes (Aspen Australia), Jonathan Biddle (Care Pharmaceuticals), Alan Oppenheim (Ego Pharmaceuticals) and Stephen Walker (Sanofi).

It also confirmed the appointments of Andrew Jenkin (iNova Pharmaceuticals) and Anish Patel (GSK Consumer Health).

According to CHP Australia Chairperson, Lindsay Forrest, "As we continue to build on our successes from the past few years, CHP Australia looks forward to further advocating the benefits of responsible self-care and contributing to a healthier Australia with a more sustainable healthcare system.

"The incoming directors will continue to strengthen our organisation and I look forward to working with them," he said.

The recently elected and appointed directors will join Mr Forrest, along with Glenn Cochran (Reckitt Benckiser), Mark Sargent (Bayer Australia) and Seona Wallace (HealthOne).
