Ceryvyn Therapeutics has officially replaced the name Opthea after shareholders approved the change at an extraordinary meeting on 3 July 2026, and the company updated its registration with ASIC.
The newly named biopharmaceutical company will begin trading under the ASX code CYV.
The company also moved its registered office and principal place of business to Suite 1.01, 117 Camberwell Road, operating via Bio101 Financial Advisory.
Ceryvyn’s lead program, CYV 101, is described as a first-in-class fusion protein designed to selectively bind and neutralise VEGF C and VEGF D, targeting pathological lymphangiogenesis. The company is concentrating on lymphangioleiomyomatosis, or LAM, a rare progressive disease that primarily affects the lungs of women and for which current therapies do not offer a cure. Ceryvyn says CYV 101 aims to provide a differentiated therapeutic approach by addressing a key biological pathway believed to drive disease progression.
