Bristol-Myers Squibb has launched a redesigned version of Study Connect - a searchable online directory that provides patients with information about the company's sponsored clinical trials.

The directory helps link patients to information about available trials in Australia. It helps guide them through the entire clinical trials journey with patient videos and other resources. The platform also links patients and caregivers to an online support community to discuss a range of health-related topics.

The company said the platform has been updated to ensure it meets the needs of patients and healthcare professionals who are increasingly using digital technology to search for information about clinical trials.

“This is an exciting time for clinical research in Australia and our Study Connect resource simplifies what can be a complex process for clinicians and patients,” said David Wilks, director of Regional Clinical Operations for Bristol-Myers Squibb Australia.

According to the company, it has over 60 clinical trials underway at more than 200 sites across Australia involving almost 1,500 patients, investigating potential new treatments for disease areas such as oncology, immunology, cardiovascular and fibrosis.
