Agtech company Bio-Gene Technology (ASX:BGT) has announced the appointment of Roger McPherson as joint company secretary on an interim basis.
Bio-Gene is developing novel insecticides with the aim of addressing the global problems of insecticide resistance and toxicity. Its novel platform technology is based on a naturally occurring class of chemicals known as beta-triketones.
Mr McPherson has more than 25 years of experience in senior finance roles in various industries.
His early career included working with a chartered accounting practice and two years with the Australian Taxation Office.
He has also served as chief financial officer and company secretary for a number of small to medium enterprises, including BioGene, Patrys, TPI Enterprises and eChoice Home Loans.
