Australia's premier life science investment event, AusBioInvest 2024, kicks off on Tuesday, 29 October, in Melbourne.

AusBioInvest officially marks the beginning of Australia's biggest week in biotech, with AusBiotech's pre-eminent conference, AusBiotech 2024, underway in Melbourne from Tuesday 29 October – Friday 1 November.

The full-day programme is designed to build meaningful connections between Australia's life science biotechs and investors, helping great ideas get the funding needed to thrive in a competitive market.

This year, AusBioInvest 2024 will welcome delegates from Australia's life science biotech companies, local and international investors representing venture capital firms, private equity firms, research analysts and brokers, industry executives, and major global stakeholders.

The program delivers a wealth of knowledge and opportunities, starting with our opening keynote, featuring Dr Eric Shiozaki, a Partner at DCVC Bio. Dr Shiozaki will discuss the impact of AI and technology on biotech and provide insights from an investor's perspective on what drives success.

Followed by unmissable panels, the first led by Sarah Meibusch, a Partner at OneVentures, discussing trends and diverse funding options, including public, private, debt, and equity. Next up a panel with AusBiotech's Global Investment Lead Rhenu Bhuller and experts Matt McNamara, Chief Investment Officer & Board Director, Horizon 3 Healthcare and Bianca Ogden, Portfolio Manager, Platinum Asset Management, sharing insights on how investors and founders can collaborate to leverage biotech innovations.

Alongside these sessions, over 20 investee pitches from pioneering biotech companies will showcase the next significant innovations, offering first-hand looks at potential investment opportunities.

Access to capital remains one of Australia's biggest opportunities for companies. AusBiotech actively fosters connections between the investment community and investment-seeking biotech life science companies.

A core feature of AusBioInvest is the AusPartnering business matching system. A program for investors and investees at AusBioInvest that provides an opportunity for confidential discussions and valuable networking in the dedicated networking lounge. Access to AusPartnering provides an opportunity to pre-schedule one-to-one meetings. This is your ticket to connecting with researchers, companies, investors, industry members, and other delegates.
